Now we need 10 others to walk the Chuck talk!

Now we need 10 others to walk the Chuck talk!

How much does Pompey-Scum actually mean to the players?

This is something that most of us have been wondering...

Well, 'let's do it for the fans' is the title of an article on The Pompey Site where Chuck talks about knowing what the south coast derby 'means to the fans.'

The nearer this game gets the more, he has said, they realise this: 'I'm really looking forward to it. I knew it was a big game, but as it's getting closer I'm starting to realise more and more just what it means to the fans.

'For about six weeks now if you've talked to any of the supporters it's the only thing they've gone on about. It makes you realise how big a game it actually is.

'We'll do our best not to let them down and we'll hopefully be celebrating a win at the final whistle.'

If Chuck, and the 10 other than start - along with the possible subs used - really do 'realise' how much this means to us and are as up for it as he says that they will be then that would be a major step in the right direction.

Not having to 'worry' is something he has also said us fans do not have to do: 'the fans don't have to worry about us not knowing how important it is to them. We're determined to win it for them.

'When they're in full voice they're brilliant. I'm sure they'll get behind us and give the opposition a bit of stick as well.'

The likes of Joel Ward genuinely, no questions asked, will know how much this means to Pompey fans but if the players can walk the walk that Chuck talks then, like I say, that gives us a better chance.

The key thing that they need to remember is that this IS NOT just 'another game', it is most definitely far from it!

All we, as fans, ask is that the players give 100% and do their utmost to make us proud.

'If' Chuck is anything to go by then they will do their best to do this, 'heroes' is what they can become and a place in Pompey folklore waits them if they are able to pull off a win at Fratton this Sunday...

Id prefer skill not bite, when your near the bottom bite gets you reds. I don't know if the derby game means anything to the players but the atmosphere should for sure.

A good clean game or at least as clean as possible considering it is a derby and a high pressure game. No controversy from decisions and no matter who wins it will at least be fair. Not much to ask for is it? 1-4 anyone?

Of course it'll be 4-1 to Pompey again, like the last two times! Really excited about it now as well as a bit nervous. Glad the lads are up for it, and the atmosphere will be incredible. "Chuck Norris is a hunter" Just seen it on an ad on Sky!
