Official - Razak returns to City

The 'reports' of Abdul Razak returning to Citeh following a month on loan with Pompey have proven true...

It was confirmed on The Pompey Site, yesterday evening, that the 19-year-old has played his final game for Pompey - for now anyway - with Citeh wanting him back.

Appy is sorry to see him leave but is 'hopeful' that he can return in the New Year it would seem: 'Abdul came on at Watford and did everything I would expect a midfield player to do, so it's disappointing that he has gone back.

'He's a talent that I would have liked to have worked with for longer to get the best out of him, particularly playing higher up the pitch because he can pick a pass out.

'But I don't blame Manchester City for wanting him back because they've got some big games coming up.

'If he gets utilised up there, that's fantastic. But if he doesn't play that many games the door here will not be shut, especially for one with the talent he has.'

We saw glimpses of what he can do against Derby and Watford, sadly those at Fratton will only remember the showing against Forest, which was not his best by any means...

On that day we saw only a tiny fraction of what he can do, playing on the right did not suit him and therefore did not help us - fortunately we won 3-0 that day anyway!

Without a doubt if Citeh would let us have him on loan against in January for a while we should jump at the chance.
