Mattock and Thorne in as City take Razak back?

With the emergency loan window deadline at 5pm today any moves that we are going to make have to be made soon...

According to what sky sports 'understands' West Brom pair Joe Mattock and George Thorne will be coming in.

The News is already saying that a move for 18-year-old midfielder Thorne is 'just about done', with his Baggies teammate looking to be the second with a third, so far 'unidentified' player, also targeted...

So, this is good news - potentially - to follow on from the disappointment of yesterday in the Pompey world.

Unfortunately it is not all good though, according to The Mail Abdul Razak is going back to Man City?

I know that he did not impress that many against Forest back along but cameos at Derby and Watford, in otherwise poor Pompey performances, were impressive so if we have lost him that would be a shame.

It is 'said' that the teenager is returning to Citeh at their request, as 'they want him to play in next weeks carling cup clash with Arsenal.'

As of this point nothing official on any loan arrival(s), or the return of Razak, have come on The Pompey Site...

Good news :)

Mattock was a regular in the Baggies promotion side and Thorne looks a very good prospect too. Will the third give Appy a striking option?

Yep losing Razak an intelligent player is a bit disappointing but Citeh must have looked at the players surrounding him and thought "hmmm lowest common denominator - no thanks - back up north son". The loan options look ok but why are they being allowed out on loan?
