Massive following at Watford

Massive following at Watford

Pompey will travel to Watford at the weekend with what is 'probably' our biggest away following for sometime?

Having sold out of the original allocation of tickets an extra 400 were requested and these soon sold out too, so we will have a Blue Army of 1700 at Vicarage Road.

On average we have around 300-600 travelling regularly to most away games, remember this is on average, and that amount makes a hell of a racket!

Just image what 1700 will do at Vicarage Road this weekend in Michael Appleton's first game in charge of Pompey, well his first game in charge as a 1st team manager (on a permanent basis)...

Expectation levels will be high, but with the help of this massive following maybe, just maybe our away day blues can come to an end with a rare win on our travels found?

Watford will be a tough nut to crack but this, when you look at the fixtures on paper anyway, is one that we can look at with some optimism of winning. I think that we should most certainly be looking to come away undefeated anyway as a point is the minimum (dare I say it) we should 'almost' expect.

I cannot wait for this game, in many ways it is a shame that Appy's first game is away from Fratton but at the same time is will give us some early indication as to what his plans are, performance, set-up and style wise, away from Fratton.

Bring on The Hornets, Pompey are coming to town and we will make a hell of a noise...

Noise doesn't win football matches... Football does... It should be a good game... Looking forward to it this Saturday.. I hope there's no trouble and everyone enjoys the day... We are playing better at the moment so who knows.. I would urge the Pompey fans to arrive as early as possible as Watford gets very busy around this time of year & parking is a problem... All in all enjoy...

I cannot understand why they don't give all behind the goal to away fans as they hardly fill the ground. We (Leeds) are there in a few weeks and an allocation of 2,100 is nowhere near enough. Looks like we will have plenty in their end again.

The reason away fans don't get the whole end is because half the stand is the family stand... (Which is stupid) as sometimes the away fans can get what you might say... A bit aggressive & sweary... Plus there isn't enough toilets & stuff to cater for any more people... The safety ticket wont be issued... Watford are trying to sort there ground out at the moment but we just don't have the money... Our owner is a Pr*ck...

Almost there...stay on target

The win over Newport saw Pompey react well to the defeat to Stevenage with most results going in the Blues' favour too, meaning we've effectively got a seven point buffer on Boro.
