The last 4 homes 1979-2001. That 1979 win in Div 4, with a crowd of over 23,000 to see us beat promotion rivals Bradford, great days. A generation of youngsters starved of football success that began with the climb back out of the lowest league.

Now 1984 was a famous well infamous day in Pompey history as they lost their unbeaten record at Plough Lane in unusual circumstances. Played in a gale Pompey went 1-0 down just before the break and when they kicked off they managed to score a goal for the Dons without them touching the ball as Noel Blake rolled the ball past Alan Knight who was bent down feeling his knee!!! Kevin Dillon also missed a second half penalty too.

I was there and Bristol City in 1971 the Bradford game as described by Matt and Leicester in 1990.
