As seems to be the norm these days for Pompey, with most things that happen, the position of Steve Cotterill continues to drag on with it becoming no clearer as to what actually will happen?
Are sky sports just 'catching up' or do they know something more than other media outlets do with what they now 'understand?'
Like most others have been/are sky sports now understand that 'Steve Cotterill is in pole position for the vacant manager's job at Nottingham Forest.'
This is hardly 'new' news, as BBC sport - and many daily papers - have been saying this for a good 24-hours or so...
Apparently Forest have made an 'official approach' for Cotterill although WOTS tells us that NO official approach has come as yet but it is 'anticipated'.
I still, and I know I keep saying this, find it had to believe that Forest will pay us compensation so this really complicates things. They buckled at the thought of paying Charlton £500,000 for Paul Hart and were reluctant to give MK Dons anything for their talented young manager Karl Robinson - now there is a young up and coming manager who could do something here I reckon!
The rest of my thoughts on things, now and previously, were pretty much shared in an article written yesterday, so you are best of checking that out - End of the line? - here.
Maybe, just maybe though we are finally moving into the endgame of what is happening in the latest PFC drama. As I shared previously, in the link above, at this point in time I can only see one outcome whatever happens...
Although to finish with the report on sky sports ended with the following line, so something to ponder that I would guess will divide opinion: 'the 47-year-old is regarded as one of the best coaches in the country and Forest believe he is the right man to transform their fortunes after a poor start to the season.'
