Wow what a disappointing day! No birthdays and just one win and an incredible nine draws! The one win came over Chesterfield in 1980. Winger Alan Rogers scored after only two minutes and Pompey held on against their high scoring opponents for the points. That win also gave Pompey three home wins in a week.

Eoin Hand`s goal at Charlton in 1969 was his first for the club in his 39th game. He did not score again for eighteen months and then scored in back to back home games with Bristol City and yes you`ve guessed it, Charlton. Funny how some players can only score against certain teams.

When Chester visited Fratton Park in 1977 they were not known as Chester City but Chester. The City did not come along until 1983. And for those wondering Ian Rush was not in the Chester side, he did not make his debut until April 1979.

Late 70's, early 80s are a blur, went to some but not regular. Was defo there in 2003, when we let the winnable game go in the dying minutes. From memory Paulo Di Canio came on a sub for them & we just seemed to freeze.
