And like buses...

Saturday, the one just gone, was my first full day in Corfu, Sidari, and far from being happy I was 'like a bear with a sore head'...

Why?

Well, do you 'really' need to ask. Pompey were playing - not only was I missing this due to the holiday but with the hotel refusing to give me the password for the wi-fi (clearly spending more in their 'fast internet corner' is what they wanted) I was struggling to even follow it as 2 euros got you 30 minutes, I could not afford to keep pumping money in.

I think my 'unhappy nature' caused me to 'sulk' a bit and this saw Trina and I squabble a few times throughout the morning, as we took in a tour of our village that morning, with some of the England egg chasing watched. This saw the morning and some of the afternoon - spent lounging by the pool. In the end I had had enough, I was at least feeding in money for the final minutes (I would later realise that I made a balls up, God knows what I was thinking but I got online to find that it was not full time, merely 20-minutes in or so, 0-0 at that that time...)

Anyway, enroute to my 'update' in 'the internet corner', with my Pompey shirt on, I had a voice say to me 'so you're a Pompey fan then?' I got talking to a woman and her son, they were away on a kind of family holiday I guess with his her husband and his wife also with them but in their rooms. We talked for ages before he eventually moved on. I went back to Triny and Lee (my brother) for a bit but soon decided 'this will not do' I was going to the hotel bar down the road, The Lagoon, who would let me use their t'internet connection to listen to the closing minutes, including the all-important winner!

Result, get in. Having struck up an 'understanding' with the manager, who a handshake from me benefited me tremendously, he said I was 'welcome back anytime' - so Tuesday night I would. Well worth the 2 euros for the trek and the 'pint of local'.

So, back it was to the bar and I bumped into another Pompey fan when entering the restaurant for a meal, we talked briefly and on my way I went...

The plan now was to enjoy the coming days, not wish them away mind, but certainly return to The Lagoon on Tuesday to listen to us take on Posh!
