One famous game stands out there for me. I doubt however many of you but it was back in 1976 when the original SOS Pompey campaign, backed by The News on September 14 at a packed meeting in Portsmouth Guildhall ( yes I was there) thirty five years ago. The meeting with many leading Pompey fans present set many targets and one of them was for a five figure gate against Reading the next week and they got it!
