Ashdown Breaks Finger!

Vital Pompey can confirm that Jamie Ashdown has broke his finger. He will be out for six weeks after an operation Monday night.

He broke it during training on Monday and Harry is now on the search for a new keeper. A loan deal to bring Carson to Pompey, is the most likely outcome.

Our goalkeeper fingers are a bit fragile at the moment. At least Chalkias never broke one....mind you he couldn't catch the ball could he....

If Carson, or a player of his type or standing comes in they'd expect to be the #1 wouldn't they, so Kiely must be cursing Ashdown for breaking his fingers as much as Ashdown is cursing his own bad luck!

Look forward to the Chalkias story rug. Is he the worst goalkeeper to ever grace a Pompey team. I can't think of anyone who could have been worse. Can anyone ?

I believe our worst keeper has to be the one and only Yoshi Kowaguchi, he could hardly touch the crossbar!

Worst Pompey Keepers: 1.Yoshi Kamikaze Cannot Catchee 2.Graham Lloyd 3.Charlie Chalkias This would be my list,as I wouldn't be confident of any of them even catching a cold !!
