Yes Dave I noticed the 3 games against Norwich. I went to 2 of them, home defeat in 1996 & the away defeat in 2002, that being our first defeat of the season (I blame my brother as he did a dozen games in 15 years & never saw us win). Also Cambridge home in 1991. Our worst defeat in our seven years in the prem was that 6-0 loss at Man City.

An unexpected visitor

Pompey's Burgess was clearly at a loose end when the game at Crawley was postponed. That much was initially obviously with the level of desire to be involved in footie later revealed.

Cook - no need for a prolific marksman

Cook has said Pompey's lack of a 25 goal striker - I still think we have one - isn't going to impact on our promotion chances. I can see both sides of Cookie's opinion here to be fair.

Vital View - League 2, 21st January 2017

Doncaster and Plymouth strengthened their positions in automatic promotion places with wins. Notts County and Newport remain in the relegation places.
