'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Tallack loaned out to Dorchester

Another of Pompey's young 1st year professionals has left the club for a loan spell with a lower league side.

Lewis Tallack has left for an initial 1-month loan with Dorchester.

A chance at some 1st team football will not do him any harm at all, will it?

Full details, as issued on The Pompey Site, are below...

Tallack Joins Dorchester On Loan

Lewis Tallack has joined non-league Dorchester Town on a one-month loan.

The 18-year-old defender signed a one-year professional deal in the summer but has yet to make his competitive debut for the Blues.

He was, however, part of the side that lost 5-1 in last month's friendly against Spanish outfit Real Betis.

Dorchester compete in the Blue Square Bet South and currently lie 14th in the table with 12 points from their opening eight games.

With no reserve side this makes absolute sense.

Totally agree.. get them away from the club for a little bit.. let them experience something different and get a few games under their belt.. in return we build relationships with local non league clubs and in the event they have a starlet ..we might just be alerted first.

On a similar note the scouting system is out and about .. Pompey scouts at under 10's games in both Eastleigh and Salisbury this week .. and that's just what I've picked up from mates who have their kids on those clubs books..
