Pompey predictions league update #5

Pompey predictions league update #5

The Pompey predictions league continued before the international break with Pompey picking up another point, extending an unbeaten run to 3 games, after a 1-1 draw at Fratton against Cardiff.

Yet again a good number put forward predictions, keep it up guys - this is aimed at new predictors and old!

After this game, with few predicting a draw - some even a 1-1 but no one the right scorer for PFC, there was some movement, although it is PompeyFrippy that retained top spot for a 4th game.

He might have collected no points again but 14pts in total means he is still the man to beat at this stage - this 14pts for August also saw him claim the 'predictor of the month' prize, with him opting for a signed Linvoy item...

Still early days but this is how top 3, of 45 at present, currently stands:

Remember anyone can enter at any time so just because you missed out on predicting for the last game with Cardiff it is not too late, simply joining for the next league game against West Ham this weekend.

Duo sign professional Pompey deals

Will Jez Bedford and Theo Widdrington be the future Pompey midfield? We'll certainly hope so, clearly the Blues do too or they wouldn't have signed professional deals at Fratton Park.

Nathan Thompson - A Swindon perspective

Prior to his departure for Wigan, Paul Cook wanted Nathan Thompson at Pompey. Interest was retained by Kenny Jackett, who completed his free transfer signing from Swindon last week.

Main man for Pompey? I wouldn't think so

Harsh? Maybe, but do I really feel ex-Middlesbrough, Doncaster and Oldham forward Main will be in Pompey's 1st team, becoming a key member of Jackett's starting XI? Well, no.
