Loan arrival, but who?
With the 'emergency loan' window opening on Thursday The News is really hyping things up about 'possible' loan arrivals at Fratton...
Chances are we will see a loan arrival this week, most definitely we will see a few between now and the end of November.
'Word on the street' has it that the club have gone 'silent' again, which is something they have recently been doing when contacted about certain players being shortly before they are signed...
The News is adamant that a loan arrival will come in from Stoke?
Both Michael Tonge and Danny Pugh are being 'linked', something that Tonge has been for well over a year!
Although WOTS is telling us at Vital Pompey Towers (whilst no 'names' are being given) this 'possible' soon to be loanee arrival will not be coming from Stoke and is actually a defender and not a midfielder...

we need a couple more midfielder's, at the very least one creative midfielder 2 attacking fullbacks would be great, but i don't think cotterill is a very attack minded manager to be honest.

Pugh would be good coz he can play left back and left mid which we are short of I would like to see it a loan with a view to perm in Jan ...

Im a bit concerned about players from Stoke, pullis has been very good at selling players who had it but cant keep it, had it but lost it or simply players that never had it. I am even more concerned that Potty Cotty has the same footballing philosophy as Pullis. Personally I don't think the back line is remotely sorted so a defender ( along with the mythical goal scoring creative midfielder) would be most welcome.

Please Herd from Villa! Please!!! And 2 more 'decent' pacey attackive minding midfielders that can link good creative passes together on the GROUND! Unsure about some of the Stoke names linked as they havent had alot of games under there belt recently and we ain't going up with a team that's needs to play catch up on fitness and match experience especially when we're still in the 'gelling stage' to our new look team PUP!!!

I think Herd has headed out...to Blackpool..
why not look to liverpool or Man City...rather than Bloody Stoke ...Again. mind you I am greatfull to Wolves and Stoke for last year..

I like Varney but he is left side of a front 3 for me so Tonge would cover well for a 442, Pugh would cover left back and get forward... Ephraim has potential and Soares could provide the spark in the middle we have lacked a little... it depends on formations really for me I like the 433/451 formation with Eric and Varney out wide but we need to be able to field a solid 442 also so thats where I would like the team strengthened - Tonge can also play central so Tonge and Pugh or Soares and Pugh would be my choices if we get anyone from the list - there will still be other prem youngsters available when their clubs realise they dont need them but 2 more would be brilliant for us. Shame we can no longer name 7 subs!
