So, we now know that Jimmy Bullard will not be coming to Pompey - many will not be unhappy at this news mind! - as he has signed for Ipswich.
As a result the attempts to sign Grant Leadbitter, from Ipswich, are back on...
'Word on the street' tells us here at Vital Pompey Towers: 'Pompey are back in for Leadbitter!'
Then again this will not come as a surprise to anyone really will it?
I have this suspicion, as I have for a number of weeks now, that Leadbitter will be coming to Fratton in the not to distant future.
As ever though time will tell...

I think buying Bullard was Jewell's way of admitting defeat with the who Leadbitter situation. If he does sign for us, I'd say Cotterill will be well off his Christmas card list.

had a feeling about this one for a bit, i think bullard signing has done us a favour, they need to sell leadbitter now to pay bullards wages as you can bet he hasn't taken a wage cut given the speed he's sign for them, and leadbitters taken a lot of stick from the fans for sats result purely because jewell made him captain, which was unfair you dont turn in to a bad player over night! I hope he signs, I know which of the 2 i would rather have, bullard was a good player but is now living on what he did when at wigan, ipswich can have him.
