1973 Boro at the Park - Pompey through John Deacon had spent BIG - Went, Marinello, Davies etc and Jack Charlton's Boro were expected to be lambs to the slaughter. Wrong Boro took the points (two in those days) and went on to be Champions. Pompey were in for the usual season of struggle despite the huge investment with manager John Mortimore the first victim.

Add to that Scunny, Boro again in 84 and Man U.

Should Portsmouth progress through to an FA Cup quarter final from the 2016/17 season onwards, the game will no longer be subject to a replay.

Chesterfield's O'Shea targeted

Although so far Pompey have had two bids turned down for Chesterfield's O'Shea. Will, assuming another bid (as it's expected) is made, it be third time luck for the Blues?

It wasn't Real Madrid but Bristol City isn't bad!

Contrary to what I just wrote (muppet that I am) this isn't at Fratton this is at Ashton Gate with Pompey heading to Bristol City on Saturday 30th July, with a 3pm kick-off.
