Chelsea and Bolton and Utaka's wonder goal - what a player we all thought! But how wrong we were.

The last 3 home games for me. In 1987 a wake up call in one of early home games back in the top flight which ended in relegation, sad times. Little to remember about losing to Bradford at home in 2001, other than we were in for another long poor season. Happier days in 2007, what a season that turned out to be. Most memorable was Utaka's run & goal, what a player we all thought. Sadly that was probably as good as it got.

Just spotted the attendance at Hartlepool in 1979 is wrong!! 9,000 at the Vic no chance, I also know where Pompeyrama got that from. Saddo that I am I will get that corrected.

Third time lucky? Nope as O'Shea interest ends

O'Shea saw a couple of bids for him put in; these were turned down by Chesterfield. A third bid hasn't come from Pompey and it isn't going to either.

Topping last seasons tally the aim

78pts was only enough for a play-off place last season so you suspect we'll have to better that for a top 3 finish this coming season, which begins with Carlisle at Fratton.

Done Deal - Smith in permanently from Swindon

The interest Pompey retained in Smith, with him 'in our sights' has resulted in him returning to the Blues on a permanent basis after signing for an 'undisclosed fee' from Swindon.
