'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Inching ever closer...

The efforts to bring Erik Huseklepp to PFC are gradually inching ever closer, although this is not quite a done deal yet...

'Rumours' are flying around about this deal for the Bari man!

'Word on the street', from someone who has spoken to his agent Tore Pedersen, says: 'he has a 'provisional appointment for a medical at Portsmouth' and there is also an agreement that he will/can talk with another club before making his final decision'.

So, it 'seems' he will be talking to another club before a decision is made?

Also there is another 'one in mind before the end of the week'...

This identity is not known.

Although it 'could be a defender, maybe even Leadbitter but that one has gone quiet now as Pompey back off to allow Jewell a chance to arrange a contract extension with his player.'

One, maybe even a couple of new faces could be in place by the end of the week...

Definitely still time to get some players in and after last nights on the whole positive all round performance there is no need to panic like some have been doing. If Eric the Viking does arrive that will hopefully give a kick up the backside to Dainty Kitten, although fair play to the ginger after missing plenty of goal chances since season start he kept up the effort and got his reward where before he would have gone off and had a grizzle. Well done Dainty!

Been a good week by all accounts. A few players in before the end of the week would round it off perfectly, along with a few goals past Jamo on Saturday.

If he is having a medical, he is probably joing Pompey. However, a walk down the street to see what the Scums are offering could tempt him too!

Pompey Back to Winning Way's, it's been a while! Great Performance last night and I thoroughly enjoyed it, it was good to see Kitson score, although the cheer for the goal was a bit strange when people realised who scored, horay we scored oh ***** it's Kitson. Pearce and Halford will I believ make a great partnership in the centre of defense and as for Ben Haim remind me is this the player we were desparate to get rid of? The midfield superb I would challenge anyone to find better in the CHampionship. Up fron Kitson played well up until he missed the one on one, then dissappeared until the second half obviously gee'd up by Cotterill. Good to sdee Benji back and it would have been great if Varney had converted his pass to make it 2-0. All this said we still need recruits at lest for competition for places. Well done Pompey now carry that performance to Brizol

Well if the Viking wants to still be able to talk to others at this late stage; have to question his motives. And if its that lot down the road, I imagine we can kiss good bye then. Top of the Chumps, better facilities, possibly pay a bit more...Hate to say it, but at this early stage they look a good bet for at least play offs, They score goals and lots of them! Still first win since March and a decent performance, not to be sniffed at! He'll either sign or he won't! not the 1st player we'll have missed out on...

They have 5 strikers already ms lots of wingers ... U would thought he would pay back the faith Pompey have put in him... Sky sports are reporting deal close and he quoted it's a good club who are rebuilding and targeting the premierleauge in next few years and he wants to be part of that... If scu m sign him just because we are untreated then .. I can see the rivalry grow and trouble brewing for the 2 games coming up against them can't fooling wait!!!!

I hope we do not miss out on him. His comments on SSN that "The club is in a rebuilding phase and that is something I want to be part of. In a long run the club wants to get back to the Premier League and that is of course exciting. " are encouraging, but, we have a history of losing players from right under our noses - even when they play pre-season friendlies for us! I hope this one come off, looks a real talent.
