Fernandes Quote Exclusive!
Pompey were on the verge of signing Fernandes for ten million pounds. The 20 year old was set to become Portsmouth`s record signing.
Redknapp told The News: 'That won't be the end of Fernandes. We'll wait for the injury to get better and go from there.
'We've got to wait to see if he's fit first.'
We`ll you all know that Vital doesn`t stop until it provides the reader with the most up to date exclusive information, and here is some more!
We got in touch with the club regarding the Fernandes deal and the lack of detail provided in the termination of the deal. The following four points have been confirmed by the club;
1) He will sign next month as long as he recovers from his injury.
2) He will receive the necessary treatment in England, so that Portsmouth can monitor his progress.
3) No one can sign him until we decide whether the treatment has worked or not.
4) It was an old groin problem which can be treated and healed.
Peter Storrie confirmed, "Yes to all four providing the treatment works."

Yes, most of this was confirmed on a Portugese Football site. I think Fernandes will add real bite to the midfield along with Petrov !

Les, I think this story smacks of desperation for a Pompey exclusive. we know all this, people will stop reading if you continue with this type of "exclusive" would be a shame to see all your hard work go down the drain!

Do you understand what an exclusive is Les? It means you are the only person with this info. But it was reported in Portugal 2 weeks ago!

the exclusive relates to the confirmation from the club! Correct me if i'm wrong but that article relates to reports in portugal and the club saying he is in england. Number 3 and 4 where not known and no one had the info from the club or the qbove quote confirming it, therfor making it an exclusive. Stop picking at articles at let me get on with it please!

Actually Les 3 & 4 have previously been reported, try newsnow.co.uk or any other site, this is not new news except maybe in your house, but dont give up anyway although i would tyake anything JacK a storrie tells you with a pinch of natural sceptical salt.

Point four has been around for hundreds of years so there is no exclusive in the fact that groins can be traeted and heal and you don't sign players with career threatening injuries for 10m. Like the fact that there is no a direct line from the vast Vital Pompey media centre, maybe it should be empire now to Peter Storie just hope voicemail isn't part of the proposed stadium upgrades.

No it isn't Les. I emailed Peter Storrie and he told me the same thing last week. Did you also know that we have paid a fee to monitor his progress and have first dips on him if/when he recovers? And for goodness sake, if you can't take constructive criticism then you are in the wrong job.

Geez, how about we all celebrate the fact that this is GOOD news. I said it last week, and I'll say it again. If Fernandes signs, it will be a ridiculous coup for us. I, for one, would LOVE to see him in a Pompey shirt, and I think he'll surprise a LOT of people if he does hit the Prem.
