No Leadbitter PFC move...yet
There was some 'confusion' at the weekend as it was being reported that an offer had been made to Ipswich for a player, most expected Grant Leadbitter, although it was being 'reported' a different Ipswich player?
Well, it now appears that the offer was indeed for Leadbitter.
This offer, and it has been confirmed from Ipswich's end, was rejected...
Paul Jewell has said the offer was turned down immediately, although he does not rule out him leaving before the end of the month as he does not want to see him run down his contract and leave on a free, as others - including one of our summer signings Chuck - have in the not to distant past.
Jewell 'thinks' that perhaps Chuck is 'whispering' in Leadbitter's ear to encourage a move to Fratton, Leadbitter himself has said he is happy to sign a new contract at Portman Road though.
I would 'expect' this to rumble on for a little longer yet, and this will no doubt do little to help the 'relationship' between Cotterill and Jewell...

Could still happen, but Ipswich now must be favorites to re sign him, the longer it takes could mean he may turn their offer down, but would we then put up more cash?

I cant see him coming to us really, but one never knows.. i also see scummers are interested in Erik the Viking...according to Tosspot sorry meant talksport..but maybe they read the "transfer rumours" site like i do, because that was on there a while back, and any one can input on that he site

I can't see us getting both of them Nod, it'll be one or the other (or more than likely neither).
