Pompey predictions league update #1

The Pompey predictions league kicked-off last weekend with Pompey drawing 2-2 at Boro, and what an encouraging opening to this fantastic competition it was!

Plenty of new members got involved for the first time, with a number of familiar faces also lurking around again - long may this continue guys...

Following this cracking point at Boro, and a prediction of 2-2 with one of the goalscorers correctly predicted newbie Big Al61 collects 6pts to take an early lead.

On a side note with 0pts scored uspompeyfan was knocked off top spot for the 1st time in a year or so, the winner from the past 3-years was top from beginning to end last season - at this stage, although I am sure this will change, he actually sits bottom of the pile!

Early days, very early in fact, but this is how top 3, of over 30 at present, currently stands:

    Pompey 1-0 Bury - report & highlights

Well, that was a case of 'job done' on Saturday really, right? Far from our best, in a game that wasn't great, but Pompey did enough to edge out struggling Bury 1-0 at Fratton Park.

    You always need scrappy wins

I am keen to be entertained when I go to football, which hopefully results in a Pompey win. However, at times you accept the points are the main thing - like Bury on Saturday.
