How will we line-up against Boro?
Well, the nopower season is just days away from kick-off now!
Within a few days we will not only know who featured against Boro but how we got on, although what will be the starting 11 against Boro?
To be honest, basically given our limited numbers - so the team 'almost' picks itself - I would think something like this...
Of course this can all change 'if' there are any player arrivals between now and then?
I am not expecting anyone new this week, although 'word on the street' has it that 'all has gone quiet at Pompey again!'
Now this is said to be taken as meant to be 'quiet' in a good way, not a bad way, meaning that PFC is working pretty hard on something(s)...
Maybe, just maybe someone 'might' be able to 'get over the line' by the noon deadline tomorrow then?

I have a feeling that barring any signings this line-up will be spot on, although Mok might squeeze in somewhere, perhaps Halford being pushed out to full back and Hermann dropping to the bench.

honestly without anymore signings thats about the only way we can really line up isn't it? the only change that might happen is Halford on the right with TBH in the middle i suppose

Popped down to see if there was any confidence in heading back up to EPL. Not by the article and the site is now vital tumbleweed. Shame.

The back for could be: Halford, Mokoena, Rocha, Pearce. SC said he will be relying on captains, and cannot see 2 of his "captains" left out.

I would see it as similar but as 4-5-1, with Lawrence & Varney playing wide midfield roles but getting forward on counters, also Halford the only right foot in the back four, & with Ben haim played in the center all his career, could be swapped, but I know Cotts likes to play Halford in the middle,or Mok could be a surprise addition. Also could switch to 4-4-2 during the game if we are down by pushing up Varney& pulling Ward wide left mid.

Very good squad on paper, just a shame you could fit the whole squad on a post-it note. Maybe the loanees will arrive once SC has decided not to bring anyone else in permanently. With more depth, maybe not necessarily quality, play-offs are achievable.

There are still doubts on whether Kitson is fit enough to start tomorrow, which would leave us with Kanu or Williams.

If Kitson is not fit, Kanu as a direct replacement or Varney moved up & as you say Frippy Williams to take the left hand slot.
