Peter Storrie Confirms Our Lua Story

Peter Storrie Confirms Our Lua Story

Vital Pompey exclusively told you yesterday that Lua Lua would sign a three year deal within the next week! However... i know you Pompey fans have heard so many stories that have not materialised that i tried my best to prove the information i received.

I get most of my exclusive stuff from a guy called M.Johnson and only a couple of times has he let me down. Saying that we have been linked with 37 players this summer, enough to run five sides, including the current squad, next year!

Many people only believe stories when they read them on the official site which is fair enough but website editors, such as myself need views. The easiest way of doing this is by finding out information before another website! You do have to give Vital and there rival sites credit, Pompey rarely sign a player without us reporting it first.

I have to report my articles as soon as i get informed, just to stay ahead of the others. I will then go and try and prove it, for example ask Peter Storrie, just as i did in this case, yesterday afternoon.

Peter said, 'Yes, we are working on a three year deal for him (Lua).'

i admire your pluck les, you are a force of nature, you keep on coming. Is that a "quote" I see in your article today - nice work mate. If Lualua does sign a 3 year deal, we should get a much better price for him in the coming weeks.

Bah, if there's no actual signings to report on it's always nice to speculate on rumours anyway....even if they are a little bit 'pie in the sky' at times...

I agree, even if the story's end up not being true it is fun to read them. But this is great news. I'm so glad that we are keeping him. He's a quality player.

to be honest glad that your keeping him, because there is no way on this earth he'd be good enough to break into our side!

Even though most stories may end up not coming off it still gives something for us to read and write our views about. Would we rather a site with nothing, or little on at all? Or a site with a few articles, or rumours here and there regardless as to their eventual outcome? If only stories about the transfers that really do go through were written we'd not have much on here, on the whole nor would many other clubs this summer. I'll not write for writings sake but I've written some articles recently and will no doubt write more again, it's what I like doing. I take a risk, write what I've heard or feel and try to add my thoughts, people may slate the article, or my view but at least I have a go. Hopefully if nothing else it gives us something to talk about...

I'm trying to see things from both sides of the fence here, know what I mean?

Why don't you try and write about things other than transfers rug? Some of the best or worst games you've seen at Fratton Park or even at away games. Or evensome of the players we've had at F.P. How about how differen people travel to Pompey from all over the country. How you have travelled to different places to watch pompey or even some of the characters you've met or know about who follow pompey. What the support is like in places that are on the borders of hampshire, or even what it's like in northern towns to support pompey. TBH mate, there a million and 1 things you could write articles about that can be factual and interesting. Don't think i'm knocking you for having a go, or slating you for your views, and giving people something to read, but if les wants some articles on rumours, then i'll run him off about 50 tomorrow. Good luck with your writing mate. At least it's good to see you use a spellchecker. ;)

For all that's good about LL, lets hope he justifies his new contract, all season & not the one here & there, when he is fit etc. I'm just an old fashioned cynic at heart.

Thanks FEn, good thinking, sure I'd have thought of it eventually, well maybe not :) Transfers seem to be the in thing don't they, guess I just get wrapped up in them, maybe I'm so desperate for something to come off I almost want to believe the "best" or more "interesting" ones I hear of. I had the worry that things like that may not interest people at all or they'd be thinking "very good, but what's the point in that?" I'll give it some thought, must have some stories to tell from my travels, meet some interesting people along the way, seen some cracking/poor games. Although I have to admit I've not been able to get to many games in the past few years, used to travel to all away games (I'm based just outside Plymouth now, so all games, home or away were away for me!) in my younger days, although I'm still a spring chicken now at 26, but can't afford it now :( It makes you no less of a fan though does it, no matter what some would think. Another couple of stories there, fans that are still fans even if they can't make games, and, albeit maybe old hat, costs of football driving fans away. I not only use a spellchecker but also the thesaurus :)
