'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Doubts cast over Betis friendly...

Reports are breaking that we will be unable to fulfil our final pre-season friendly as the 1st team has been left 'stranded' in the US of A.

I say 'unable to fulfil' but this 'might not' be entirely accurate...

A catering truck damaged the plane that the team was due to fly back on and as it stands we will not make it back in time for this friendly against Betis at 6.30pm tomorrow.

The game will, by all accounts go ahead as scheduled, although it could be the academy side that step in to fill the void left?

Should this prove the case it is also said that a fixture on Tuesday 'might' be taken up by the 1st team instead of being played by the academy team as scheduled...

Quite how the natives due to be in attendance at this game will take this news remains to be seen, assuming this is the scenario that plays out anyway?

It's a pity for anyone who got a ticket, but I think the players won't be too bummed out about it.

Apparantly the driver of the bus that hit the plane was the linesman in 1976 cup final.
