Lua To Sign Three Year Deal

Portsmouth today held further contract negotiations with Lua Lua. It now appears that the striker will sign a three year contract at the club some time in the next week.

This does not however mean a move for Andy Reid is off. Portsmouth will probably take the player on loan with a view to a permanent deal. Peter Storrie today denied that Lua would be leaving the club for Tottenham, insisting that contract negotiations had not broken down but didn't rule out a move for Andy Reid. Vital Pompey understands that it will be a three year deal. 80% of vital readers will be delighted with this breaking news!

Good to hear, let's hope that's the last of the rumblings of discontent.

More pleased we are getting our own house in order than LL staying. If he does let's hope he gives a consistant season of quality & not the floored genius.

If LL signs a new improved 3 year deal who will be the next discontented player to through there toys out of the Pram.

I really hope Lua stays for our's and his sake. We need him i still think his 1 of the best players at pompey. Hope 2 see Petrov in a Pompey shirt soon. Does any1 know anythink about Anelka?

I would rather have him playing for us than the opposition. And as for Monsieur Le Sulk, if anyone can handle him it would be HR, sadly I can't say that about his egotistic money grabbing robbing **** of a brother.

I did report this last Friday that he wouldnt go ;)

Don't mind him staying, so long as he learns to pass the *****ing ball.

So far it looks like we are going to start with almost the same squad that we finished with minus Priske > Johnson. Plenty of money but no takers.

Thank f..k for that, Lua is made for FP not WHL, I can't see a loan deal for Andy Ried though think it will have to be CASH with a small rebate back to Pompey for taking Murphy similar to January when is was 8.5m for Pedro and Davies and 1.3m back to Pompey for taking Paramout.

Lets hope we have more of a team mentality from him this season. No disrespect to Andy Reid, he's a top class International footballer but after some of the names we've been linked with, and supposidly after he's not quite the same is he? Had we signed him in January I'd not have complained but now I don't know, sounds harsh but it would almost be like admitting defeat in our quest to sign the real big boys, even though it always was, and is going to be hard anyway. I'm not even sure how much he'd improve the team, the squad yes, but first XI...

Lets hope it goes smoothly. I don't want to lose lua lua, he is a good player. And according to the recent on going poll, nor do 77% of the readers.
POMPEYMEV
There are still plenty of back-flips left in Lua Lua yet. The next few days will show that.
