'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Good Luck Priske!

Brian Priske is all set to join Bruges for a fee thought to be around the one million pound range in the next couple of days.

Priske was signed by Perrin (former Pompey boss) for 700k and played his part in keeping Portsmouth in the premiership last year. The arrival of Glen Johnson meant that his departure was inevitable.

'There are still some minor details to sort out but there is little doubt that I will join Brugge,' Priske, 29, told Het Laatste Nieuws.

'I see my return as a gift of God. I'm joining the top team in Belgium and I will also link up with a former team-mate [Koen Daerden], which makes this proposition even more attractive.'

I for one wish him the best of luck in the future!

Shame really he did very well considering the circumstances. No sentiment in football these days. Thanks to BP, look forward to playing against your new team in a few years when we qualify for Europe. Pass me my tablets please.

Brian was fantastic for us in our winning run last season (and was one of the rare good points in Perrin's squad). In my opinion he has been harshly treated, and I wish him every success with Brugge.

Shame, good player, didn't rate him at all at first when Perrin brought him in but he really came good, and after that was one of the last players I thought would head through the exit door this summer. It would have been good to keep him, but at his age you can understand why he wouldn't want to sit on the bench. Good luck BP

Another good player sent on his way because H.R. doesn't like him. Shame really, cos i think he had a lot to offer this season AND he wanted to play for the shirt (something H.R. doesn't understand).

He just wasn't one of Harry's boys. If you're not you have to play twice as hard to impress Redknapp. Harry just does not enjoy someone else's purchase.

Touché, Redknapp does likes it to be his creation doesn't he

I still think Glen Johnson is a better player than Priske, don't you's?
StuartM
In theory, and potentially I'd say you are right, Johnson is probably the better player. Theory and potential don't always work in practice though do they... I'm sure he'll do well for us though and this time next season we'll be saying "wish we could have signed Glen Johnson after his loan!"
