'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Blackpool striker 'linked'

Quite clearly, as even Stevie Wonder would be able to see, Pompey need another striker.

Having seen our efforts for Martin Paterson seemingly knocked back one too many times by Burnley we have got the message and moved on?

This, according to what sky sports 'understands' this sleepy Sunday, has seen us switch our attentions to Blackpool's Gary Taylor-Fletcher...

They report: 'the 30-year-old's contract expired earlier this summer, but Blackpool activated a clause to extend it for a further 12 months.

'Blackpool have offered Taylor-Fletcher a new deal to secure his long-term future at Bloomfield Road and in a bid to fend off his suitors.

'Championship trio Hull City, Derby and Portsmouth are all thought to be keen on Taylor-Fletcher and they are monitoring his contract situation at Blackpool.'

Well, what can you say to that?

your kidding..yes he did ok for pool last year..but really.. MATTY TUBBS or BILLY SHARP. the only realistic options for me because they are target men.

if we can get taylor-fletcher on a free that would be a good signing and maybe we could sign either sharp or tubbs too

Wouldn't mind him coming here, he has a decent enough record, and I think he's the kind of player that would easily slip into the team, but I agree with pompey4ever, we'll still need another striker after this.
