Bolton In For Pompey Target?

Reported Portsmouth transfer target (along with most other players) Juan Pablo Sorin is a wanted man.

Bolton Wanderers are said to have tabled a bid of around 2.5m, which is what current club, Spanish giants Villarreal are believed to be willing to accept. However Harry Redknapp will not be beaten without putting up a fight, and is very keen on bringing the 30-year-old Argentinean
International skipper to the South Coast, and made the following comments in Monday's Sun,

'I tried to sign him three years ago. He's a great player, one of the best players at the World Cup.'

'We are desperately short of left-sided players, so we are going to make a bid for Sorin.'

Most supporters will remain very sceptical about such a move coming off, and whether or not he would even be interested in a move to the club remains to be seen. With Tottenham, Stuttgart and Inter Milan also
rumoured to be in the hunt the club faces stiff competition, but if he is a man Redknapp wants he'll have a good go at getting him.

Let's hope they don't pull the RUG from under us.

Talk in Spurs land is that is closer to 3.5 million not that I think we will really go after him as he doesn't exactly fit the Spurs mould.

If we really want him we can outbid & out pay Bolton, providing he wants to come to us of course. Would be a decent signing.

He would be a great signing. Its not alot of money at all for a player of his caliber so redknapp should use his funds and outbid anyone. Not being funny but to squabble over half a mil seems silly. Just get on and do it.
