Harry: Lua Lua Going No Where!

Harry: Lua Lua Going No Where!

Lua Lua is going no where, Vital Pompey is the first website to report this however by tomorrow afternoon they all will.

Article: Lualua rumours a load of rubbish!

Harry Redknapp today denied rumours that Lomana Tresor Lualua was heading out of the south coast club.

Rumours had spread that Lualua wasn't happy on the south coast and wanted a move away, he was reported to have said that the wages that Portsmouth FC were offering were not up to standard. Lualua's future looked destined away from Fratton Park.

However, talking to the radio today, Harry Redknapp denied all reports linking him with a move away, Redknapp commented 'These rumours are a load of rubbish, some contracts just take more time than others, Lualua's has taken a long time and news papers have now decided to put 2 and 2 together.'

Some Pompey fans will be glad to hear of the news that Lualua may be staying. Some fans however aren't Lualua's biggest fans and were pleased when the news came that he was being forced out the club. Lualua can be known to be very greedy on the ball and make mistakes at the last second.

Lualua currently has 1 year to run on his contract, and as of January he will be able to move on a free at the end of next season.

In other news, the apposed deal for Portuguese midfielder Manuel Fernandes has broken down after the midfielder failed a medical, reports suggest a groin injury that hindered his form to the latter
end of last season was the problem, Portsmouth Fc have said the matter will be looked on again in a months time, and for now Fernandes will fly back to Lisbon as a Benfica Player.

I'm happy either way. I've shared my views on LuaLua on the site, and they won't change, however if it is all rubbish and he hasn't wanted away at anytime I'm sorry for saying he should go, but only meant he should if that's what he wanted. You don't want players that supposidly don't want to be with you do you? He'll certainly be of benefit to the squad staying, so its good news. VERY bad news on Fernandes however, but it just about sums things up. The more time that went by without the deal going through the more you felt something was wrong with the medical side of things. Best we found out now though before we forked out £10m!!! Hopefully things will have cleared up when we look into the deal next month?

Lualua wrote a lengthy article TODAY about how his contract negotiations have broken down - THIS was the source of the 'rumours' - LUALUA!

The club should cash in now rather than have a unhappy player making demands on the club. He was happy to sign the contract last time. Get a striker that will pass the ball. he needs to remember it's a teaam game and not the "Lua Lua Show" every Saturday afternoon.

We have to make sure that we treat him fairly whatever happens, we all know the hard times that he worked through last season. If he wants to stay it's got to be on a sensible wage, if he wants to go don't stop him or begrudge him his move. He will never be a 20 goals a season man, but he will always be a player capable of doing that little something special to totally change the outcome of a match...whether that be rounding a few players and sticking through a great pass/cross, or scoring a blinder against the run of play. Personally I still think he'd be better used on the right wing, but he'd never 'agree' to playing out there regularly.

Not bothered either way as long as we replace him with someone better. I'm happy to trust the club on this. If LL thinks he shoould be on superstar money just because Sasha is here he can sod off. Take his back flips & greedy attitude to London.

I like LuLu. He is a good player. I hope he stays.

Cook's already said the loan Tollitt is undertaking with Tranmere doesn't mean an end to his Pompey career as this isn't a forerunner to a Blues exit in the New Year.
