Two down, one to go?

Two down, one to go?

The increasing 'rumours' overnight where that 3 bits of information would be released today; so far 2 of these 3 have indeed happened with The News announcing them both...

1) It was being 'said' that the American tour would be confirmed.
A tick can be put alongside this, as this came this morning.

2) Steve Cotterill would confirm his commitment to PFC.
A tick can be put alongside this, this has just come along.

As a side note, again it infuriates me that The News has been the place for these announcements though and not The Pompey Site!

The 3rd, and final announcement of today - by all accounts - was to be the confirmation that David 'Chuck' Norris had signed...

Will we get 3/3 today?

The club probably can't announce it until July 1 - he's still an Ipswich player until then. Although obviously if Cotterill tells The News that a deal has been agreed, you can't expect them to hold of on it. The club won't always be first because they have to wait until everything's completed. The OS is where I go to see when a deal has 100% been done and completed.

Not necessarily pros, if Norris has signed the contract the club can announce it, they just have to word it carefully, something like "He has agreed to join Portsmouth on a 3 year contract, and will join Lionel Messi and Cesc Fabregas as the squad looks to rebuild." Or something to that effect.

Haha, maybe it's an etiquette thing - they don't want to ***** off Ipswich?

No doubt there are formalities that have to be completed before deal is 'official' rug - Cotterill probably wants to get the news out there as soon as possible

Northampton (h) - Securing home advantage?

Some could view this as a 'dead rubber!' It isn't as Champions Northampton will want to end on a high and Pompey will want 'an advantage' against Plymouth in the play-offs. Right?

Pompey MotM at Hartlepool

Pompey went into the penultimate game with a slim chance of a top 3 finish. A 2-0 win at Hartlepool saw the Blues do what we needed but wins for others ended those chances.

Jeepers keepers! Freebie options explored

An emergency loan arrival of a goalie has been ruled out by the Football League but this doesn't mean a free agent cannot be signed by Pompey should a suitable option be found?
