Fixture meetings you HOPE to avoid missing!

Fixture meetings you HOPE to avoid missing!

We might seem a million miles away from being ready as a club at this point, although there are still a good couple of months until kick-off mind, but attention will be shifting more to the 2011/12 season later this week...

This is, of course, because the fixtures will be announced!

With the fixture announcement imminent - there will inevitably be some changes, ideally sooner rather than later - we will all have some dates in mind that we would 'hope' do not see a game that is of real importance to us fall on them.

Chix has posed this question in the forum: 'At 9 o'clock next seasons fixture list will be published..

'We all know the games that we will be looking out for but what are the worse possible dates that our plum fixtures could fall on from your point of view ?

'For me.. I'm out of the county until 8th August so I reckon I'll be pretty safe .. but how gutted would I be if we were pitted against Saints or Brighton before I got back..

'So who's got pre-booked .. holidays .. Weddings.. Christmas's away that you really can't get out of and are praying that our plum games do not fall on ..
'

Fixtures Out Friday Morning - Dates to avoid !! - Here.

So then guys, what dates are not good for you for various reasons?

We at Vital Pompey invite you to share your thoughts on dates that you will not be free for and what games you hope do not fall on these dates!

Any midweek home game is inconvenient, sky take note. 2 week holiday at end of August so all away then please for that period. Reading away any date other than October 1st, attending wedding in Oxford on the Friday would be ideal. Derby away early or late in the season, will make weekend of it & play golf. Oh & move scum fixtures to any midweek date & I'll explode.

We know Danny you want to stay!

In case we had forgot Hollands has reminded us of his desire to stay with Pompey! I'm not 'desperate' either way in many ways but sorting this quickly would be best for all concerned.

Three more pre-season games announced

'Glamour ties' are loved but pre-season is about fitness and form so it doesn't matter if it's Barcelona or Bognor... Then again a trip to the Nou Camp wouldn't be turned down!

Sheffield United loanee open to Pompey return

McNulty would welcome a permanent transfer to Pompey. Although the Sheffield United striker could well be part of new manager Wilder's plans, so the chances seem 50:50 at best?
