Looking back/thinking forward with PompeyNorway

Looking back/thinking forward with PompeyNorway

Vital Pompey prides itself on the interaction we have with our members.

We like to think that we rarely claim to speak, or even say that we do speak, for all Pompey fans and instead look to gage a wider opinion from our own thoughts shared in that attempt to get the wider views shared by our fellow fans!

As such we welcomed answers to some (ideally all) of the following questions, which PompeyNorway was happy to do.

Here is what they said...

1) Overall thoughts of the 2010/11 season?
Good season. Some great periods with a lot of victories and we finished in a good position.

2) Who was the player sold or released (in the summer of 2010 or during the season) that we most missed in 2010/11?
Jamie O'Hara.

3) And the player sold or released (in the summer of 2010 or during the season) that we least missed?
Diop.

4) What did you find good about the 2010/11 season?
The signing of Kitson and Lawrence and that we kept players like Rocha and Nugent.

5) And the thing(s) you found most bad?
The Stoke guys...

6) How many games did you attend in the 2010/11 season?
Zero :(

7) Do you have any idea what you plans for attendance in 2011/12 will be?
No.

8) So, onto Steve Cotterill - what are your thoughts on the boss?
I don't think he's the right man. Very defensive and boring tactic and it looks like he has no discipline. Too many red and yellow cards. No young players either. I'm certain that a player like Ciftci could have done a great job up front. Didn't he start the season well too?

9) Who did you think was the most impressive loanee we had in 2010/11?
Greg Halford.

10) What about the least effective and impressive loanee Cotterill brought in last term?
Sonko/Dickinson.

11) Favourite memory/game of 2010/11 was?
Leicester 6-1 :)

12) What about your worst moment/game in 2010/11?
0-2 against Derby in November. On of the few games I watched at TV this season. Booooring!!

13) Your player of the season for 2010/11 and why?
Ricardo Rocha. Fantastic defensive. A bit too many cards, but he has done well.

14) What about the least impressive player of 2010/11? Or should that be worst!
Sonko/Dickinson.

15) What would be your Pompey hopes, aspirations or expectations for 2011/12?
If we can get some good free agents in, play off!

think he had one brief spell, albeit a short one, but all in all diop never impressed me either Malta...

when you say the signing of kitson was good i assume you mean the overall deal we did with stoke, right?
i will admit that when we did this deal i was delighted, kitson has been poor and lawro tailed off so its not such a great deal afterall, perhaps? still good business for PFC tho i guess...

I still have a soft spot for "The Boub", even though he was quite useless and cost me a lot of money.

I think it might have something to do with the fact that he's an absolute beast on PES on the Playstation, I got lost somewhere between reality and fantasy and in my head he was 'that good' on the pitch.

Big Ben returns!

There's no doubting how important Davies is to us, we most definitely missed the former Sheffield United man against Orient but Cook's confirmed he'll start against Bristol Rovers.
