Pompey may be looking to bring in a keeper on loan after Dean Kiely went and broke his finger during the Torquay game.

This is a huge set back to Pompey`s number one keeper who now looks set to miss the start of the season. It could provide Jamie Ashdown with a perfect opportunity for him to take with two hands. (excuse the pun)

Gives Ashdown a chance, I think with a good defence in front of him, people may just be surprised at how good he is!

Take with 2 Hands. As long as we don't drop him eh.
pompeygray
He came to the club with a reputation so give him the chance, I'm sure he'll take it. There are only so many times you can say "he's a young keeper, so he's the future!" It's not seding him a good message if someone else is brought in a head of him, would be like showing him the exit...

My Uncle has let slip we were already in for Cudicini but keep it quiet, deal is still being finalised.
blueknight
Cudicini sounds good....BUT LET'S KEEP IT QUIET.
pompeygray
And whom is your uncle?
danonash
If Harry let go of two keepers, do you think he had an intention of signing at least one? I think so !
StuartM
I know I say give Ashdown a chance, but I've always rated Cudicini, superb 'keeper, so if we can get him lets have him! If this comes off Kiely would get a felling of deja vu wouldn't he...
pompeyrug
Groan! As if the player search wasn't expansive enough already... Still, Ashdown certainly isn't bad backup if he's needed.
Tantona
Keily is ok just bruised. but we also played one of OUR other keepers last night a lad who we loaned out to a Belgian side now recalled he is 18, 6'5 and Canadian called Begovic

It will give Dean Kiely some real competition for the hot spot!!!

Glad DK is Ok. Great dressing room man too. For how long he will be No.1 will depend on the defence. You can a see us going to Norwich for Green when he is fit.

POMPEY GO(LF) IN GREEN LINKS.
pompeygray
I'd say we'd have got, or at least moved for Green again by now had he not been injured?
pompeyrug
Norwich are going nowhere for a while, Green will go to someone sooner or later.
