Harry: Anelka Is Too Much

The deal for Anelka isn`t as close as the player is making out. He had previously told reporters that he had had chats with Harry and that he was interested in a possible move.

It now appears that Anelka is another player in a long list and that he was using the interest from Portsmouth to boost his chances of a big move.

Harry Redknapp said, 'We have made enquiries and spoken to people over there but we're nowhere near a deal at the moment."

'He would be a good buy at the right price, but the figures they are talking at the moment are beyond us.'

There goes another big name "proposed" signing… ow well he`s lazy anyway!

Not to mention a whinger. Is he related to Robert.

Think I was as naive as he is a lazy whinger with my article, looks like he reeled me in... When will I learn lol

Thank God for Glen Johnson and loan deals, Sasha will be rubbing his hands together thinking that is such an expsensive sport/hobby after all.

The on off, will it, wont it, does he want to, does he not want to Anelka deal is being suggested it's on again, or at least we're leading the race, and now they say he wants to be part of Harry's "Pompey revolution." As usual all we can do is wait, and until something officially happens take it with a pinch of salt...
pompeyrug
Always suspected Anelka was using us to reel in a 'bigger' Premiership team....let him rot in Turkey if that's the case.
Tantona
These "bigger" clubs wont move for him though will they, well not the "big 4-6 anyway"...
pompeyrug
looks like we will sign him,,, the agent is willie mckay,,, some more under the table agreements i reckon

Willie McKay has got his fingers in more pies than Collins Mbesuma!
pompeyrug
No doubt he will use in the same we will use him. But he will have to be successful with us first for the real big boys to come in & then we can sell for more silly money than we will have to pay to get him.
storagematt
He may be misunderstood, maybe he isn't the whinger, bad guy etc we all think, maybe he has just been handled badly by those looking after his interests? You'd think that we'd tie him to a long term contract, not that they mean much so he'd not get away cheap if he does do the business. I still feel that if anyone can convince a player Fratton is where you belong our fans can. We'll be successful anyway in the years to come!!!
pompeyrug
Harry tamed Di Canio, so maybe he is the right manager to tame Anelka.

Touché!!!
