What does the future hold for...Rocha?

What does the future hold for...Rocha?

There can be few clubs with such a history of squad rotation as Pompey.

This summer, as with the past 2-3, I would suspect that 'most' will be wondering where their future lies.

Although unlike some other years some players under contract at least 'should' have a better chance of remaining where they are, as long as this is what they want!

If this is what they want, and it is a financially viable option for us, lets hope this is what they get...

#33 Rocha John Rocha

Much depends on the true length of his contract really?

I thought it was 2-years, although some think it was just a year when he eventually re-signed last summer...

If he is still under contract this summer then I cannot see him being unhappy and he would be willing to honour his contract I reckon, which would please me as he is by far our best defender and any youngsters we have around could learn from him.

Given his all-round ability, as an all-round footballer not just his defensive ability, I would say that he is as good as we have had in some time, without a doubt the best we have had since the 'glory days'.

Should he only be on a 1-year contract then others, especially at this level, would circle...

Rocha John Rocha is such a cultured central defender and exactly what this club needs, especially when we have often had to patch a defence together - he often seems to act as that glue to hold it together.

Maybe this is just because I want this, so the heart could be ruling the head, but I think his future lies at Fratton...

ere ere. Just get rid of that red card habit. The last promotion side was built around Gianluca Festa and Rocca is a similar player around which to build the next.

A late Barnet goal looked as though it would end Pompey's unbeaten run but Conor Chaplin proved the saviour when he scored a last minute equaliser to earn a point in a 1-1 draw.
