What does the future hold for...Sonko?

What does the future hold for...Sonko?

There can be few clubs with such a history of squad rotation as Pompey.

This summer, as with the past 2-3, I would suspect that 'most' will be wondering where their future lies.

Although unlike some other years some players under contract at least 'should' have a better chance of remaining where they are, as long as this is what they want!

If this is what they want, and it is a financially viable option for us, lets hope this is what they get...

#25 Ibrahima Sonko

When we were where we were (try saying that after a few!) last summer and he arrived we had to be grateful to have anyone. To be honest at the time I thought he was, or would be, a decent signing...

The odd mistake, ok at least one major costly one per game, in his opening games hardly got him off to a flyer and did not really endure him to the Pompey fans.

'Superman' got slightly better, and seems a decent guy, but as a footballer he has still been poor this season - the number of loanees we have forced him out of the picture in the end.

This 'on the outside looking in' frame of mind might have made up his mind but as a free agent in the summer, not that I want it, it would not surprise me entirely if Steve Cotterill did try to bring him in permanently?

Maybe this is more down to what I want than what I really think but I would say that his future lies away from Fratton...
