What does the future hold for...Cotterill?

There can be few clubs with such a history of squad rotation as Pompey.

This summer, as with the past 2-3, I would suspect that 'most' will be wondering where their future lies.

Although unlike some other years some players under contract at least 'should' have a better chance of remaining where they are, as long as this is what they want!

If this is what they want, and it is a financially viable option for us, lets hope this is what they get...

#17 David Cotterill

When some were not so impressed with him in the opening games I was, although not so now. For me David Cotterill has started to drift more and more out of games as his loan gets closer to ending...

In many ways I can see why he has a habit of moving on as much as he has as I do not think that he is consistent enough nearly enough to hold down a regular starting place that is warranted.

If the price was right, contract length and the salary, with all sustainable then I would not be against a permanent stay as beggars cannot be choosers and we need to get more numbers in this squad that we actually own - that said if we could look elsewhere I am not unconvinced that we could not find someone else of equal ability for less?

He has been on a par with John Utaka, just about, but on a fraction of the money.

It does beg the question though would someone like Matty Ritchie really have offered any less?

As I say I am not against it but suspect his future lies away from Fratton...
