What does the future hold for...Mullins?

What does the future hold for...Mullins?

There can be few clubs with such a history of squad rotation as Pompey.

This summer, as with the past 2-3, I would suspect that 'most' will be wondering where their future lies.

Although unlike some other years some players under contract at least 'should' have a better chance of remaining where they are, as long as this is what they want!

If this is what they want, and it is a financially viable option for us, lets hope this is what they get...

#8 Hayden Mullins

He has had a few 'dodgy' games this season, but then again who has not?

For me Hayden Mullins has been as good as anyone this season so he 'could' claim the player of the year award you know.

Another that I think could do a job at a higher level, albeit a lower end of the higher level, so with that in mind and the high wages that he is on it leaves him vulnerable as one of those that PFC look to offload.

Having stayed for one season in the nopower I can see no reason why he will not stay for another and see out, at least, the final year of his contract though.

I was not a Mullin's fan but in the last 12-15-months he has proven his worth I feel and I see his future, for the next year at least, being at Fratton...

He will stay, unless we get an offer 500K+. This may not be bad business rather than a free at the end of the season, I would also imagine he is towards our top earners

Think he will stay, this is definetely his level, the club should look to extend his contract at a lower wage he may take that for a longer contract at his age.

He's a good pro not flash, but can play, gets on with it with no moans & gripes, underrated by many I feel.

Third time lucky? Nope as O'Shea interest ends

O'Shea saw a couple of bids for him put in; these were turned down by Chesterfield. A third bid hasn't come from Pompey and it isn't going to either.

Topping last seasons tally the aim

78pts was only enough for a play-off place last season so you suspect we'll have to better that for a top 3 finish this coming season, which begins with Carlisle at Fratton.

Done Deal - Smith in permanently from Swindon

The interest Pompey retained in Smith, with him 'in our sights' has resulted in him returning to the Blues on a permanent basis after signing for an 'undisclosed fee' from Swindon.
