'If It's Football, It's Vital'

What does the future hold for...Dickinson?

There can be few clubs with such a history of squad rotation as Pompey.

This summer, as with the past 2-3, I would suspect that 'most' will be wondering where their future lies.

Although unlike some other years some players under contract at least 'should' have a better chance of remaining where they are, as long as this is what they want!

If this is what they want, and it is a financially viable option for us, lets hope this is what they get...

#3 Carl Dickinson

I would challenge anyone who questions Dicko's passion, commitment and desire although the problem is he is, as far as his footballing ability goes, among the worse I can recall!

I am not sure how long he has on his Stoke contract although I am not convinced that it ends this summer - if it did I would not think there would be much doubt that he would sign on a free.

The guy has no future in the premier league and is 'probably' a mid-lower championship player at best, so I would 'hope' that this rules out a permanent stay as I would be looking for us to be something a little more than 'relegation fodder' next season to tell the truth.

I would not be mortified if he did sign, but unless Stoke release him or sell for a very nominal fee I cannot see his future lying at Fratton...

Every time I see him play I'm reminded that power is nothing without control, and nor are ball skills or tackling skills and he doesn't have either.

Not a player I would like to see at PFC on a perm basis. He seems to have a big heart but little real skill needed at our level

Gotta agree. If we want to push on to greater things then send him back but if not keep him.

Could see even very early on he's not at this level, Cotterill made a mistake on this one, would have rather kept Matt Ritche

that is what annoys me all the more - to say that someone as young, hungry and keen as matty ritchie was 'not good enough' but dicko is has to be wrong? only difference is cotterill brought in dicko, matty was already here...

At least he does not get a full game anymore
