Rethink is positive, now its time to move on

Having taken onboard the fans concerns PFC have announced that the window for early bird season ticket renewals has been extended.

Fans now have an extra 4-weeks to opt to renew.

Of course this will still not please everyone although being given an extra month, so 6-weeks in total overall is much more acceptable in my eyes - it is just a shame that this was not the case from the off, but hey ho.

As it stands there is still no option for debit/credit card payment but talks are ongoing to make this available, so another positive thing.

Whilst I was less than impressed with the demands being put to us this is a good move - as it is, and despite all my protestation, mine has now been renewed. This was renewed on Tuesday morning for me.

Full details, as issued on The Pompey Site, on the extension announcement can be seen on what eastneydave published yesterday - click here.

To be honest, and I am sorry for any offence that I may well cause, some of the other demands from The PST are not things that I feel are essential, some dare I say not realistic, so I am not entirely in favour of them calling for more and more to be looked at too - ok, some perhaps but not all.

I totally agree with the thoughts that it is good that PFC have taken onboard what was asked, but too find it disappointing that it took fans being up in arms for these changes to come about.

The main thing is that a change was made so that is a positive thing.

This situation was, as I said from the off, a massive PR balls-up and something that was not needed.

Hopefully now though we really can get back to the maters of actually talking about football, something that we had started doing a lot more of for a number of weeks up until the season ticket details announcement, lets just hope we can get back to this again now!

And what better way than getting involved in the matchday thread for our upcoming opponents, this weekend, Reading - click here....

PFC - PR, have those words gone together in the sense of other than BAD PR ever since we won the cup. I think not

Pompey PR and press team, now there is a cost saving to be made. Cots gob tends to give away secrets marginally quicker that the owners can get info in to a Chinese newspaper. . I'd like to see the return of debit card payments as a prerequisite. Since we aren't likely to make the play off's I feel I can hang on for the half season ticket, I'm confident seats will be available.

anything other than victory on saturday russ and i think you are more than safe - credit/debit card payments not being an option is simply unheard of these days, even when we were in admin last season this was still an option. as it is mine has been done, the club saw some sense and the extension is a good thing.
