May have been there in 1980, not sure. It was a big promotion game, which we lost but still went up, if only just. Vivid memories of the PNE game in our championship winning season. Listened to the game on the radio, should have been 4 up & then concede an injury time goal to draw. Did I scream at the radio. Again, it didn't matter in the long run.

I was there in 1980 when Alan Buckley who was player/manager then I think scored both goals and we appeared to be slipping away from promotion. If we had not won promotion that season where would we be now??
