Cotterill stays at Fratton

As expected, or as was at least hoped for, David Cotterill has extended his loan stay with Pompey.

The winger will stay with us until the end of the season now after Swansea agreed to let us keep him for the remaining weeks of the season.

Steve Cotterill, as he told The Pompey Site, is more than happy with this: 'he has done very well for us. I've been very pleased with him.

'He keeps his width which we are pleased about.

'He is not your big right winger who will jump up at the far post and win headers but I think he has been like the other boys - he has come in, mixed with them and settled in very well.'

I am happy enough to see him stay until the summer too, we then take it from there and see what we can sort out...

This can only be good news. (Brown, Hughes who needs them?) will he be able to play against swansea? Are the FL rules different to the PL?

Can't see him being allowed to play against Swansea Mick, but still availible for the others, which is also in Swansea favour.

Yes.... got to be good news. I've been quite impressed by him actually, in the greater scheme of things anyway. As long as he keeps doing his best and putting in the performances his stay with us couldn't have come at a more welcome time...
