A tale of two cities - Bristol City (A) and Hull at home.

I remember it was a lovely sunny day in Bristol and we were c**p, away form cost us promotion that season without doubt. Hull I am certain was the only time Peter Marinello scored twice in a game for Pompey which is hardly surprising as he only scored ten goals.

Wolves home in 1996 for sure, a bit vague on whether I did Plymouth away in 1991. Did quite few West Country visits around that time, just know I never saw us lose away to Plymouth in 4/5 trips.

Third time lucky? Nope as O'Shea interest ends

O'Shea saw a couple of bids for him put in; these were turned down by Chesterfield. A third bid hasn't come from Pompey and it isn't going to either.

Topping last seasons tally the aim

78pts was only enough for a play-off place last season so you suspect we'll have to better that for a top 3 finish this coming season, which begins with Carlisle at Fratton.

Done Deal - Smith in permanently from Swindon

The interest Pompey retained in Smith, with him 'in our sights' has resulted in him returning to the Blues on a permanent basis after signing for an 'undisclosed fee' from Swindon.
