Emana Deal Not Dead

Emana is still confident of his dream move to England despite having his work permit rejected.

'I am still asking for authorisation to play in England,' Emana told Sky Sports. 'I have asked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to help me obtain French nationality. That would allow me to obtain a work permit.

'I have been in France for seven years, so I think it could be possible, but other clubs are interested. I am not in contact with Rennes, they have called Toulouse, but there is nothing more.'

If he was French he wouldn't need a work permit as they are all part of the EEC

I read he is from Cameroon (old French colony). Not convinced he is what we need. Sounds like he has more to gain out of it than we do.

He says he has applied to the ministry to help him obtain French nationality, not sure how long this process will take but the clock is ticking. Agree Matt, if he is prepared to change nationality to do the deal there is more in it for him. Would you guys change to the red and white of Soton to accommodate Sol Campbell?
