Seeking a loan extension

Seeking a loan extension

I know that some opinions of David Cotterill have varied during his loan spell, to date, but I think the guy has done 'ok'.

So, with that in mind, 'if' we can get Swansea to agree to extend his loan then I would be happy enough with this.

His delivery at times, especially from set pieces, has been below par but to be fair to him I have seen him put in plenty of fantastic balls into the box in open play - the problem has been that the 'strikers' are not getting on the end of these...

Cotterill has offered a decent work rate too and has built up a decent partnership with Ritchie de Laet, especially at Fratton. Away from home this has not been as strong for me, although you do not go as 'all guns blazing' in an away game do you!

Without a doubt I think that we can safely say that he has offered as much, at least, as John Utaka would have, and at a much lower cost of wages too!

I cannot see him getting into the Swansea starting 11, ok perhaps back into their matchday squad, but he is playing 1st team football here regularly so it makes sense for him to stay, assuming Swansea will allow this, which I would 'think' that they will.

All signs 'seem' to point towards his loan being extended, so if we can do this until the end of the season why not as it will benefit everyone.

we haven't actually seen him on the left of a proper 4-4-2 yet have we? or am i going mad lol, cause i think him on the left and Lawrence on the right could be really and we might actually have someone in the box with 2 up front lol

He's playing regular, so as far as we are concerned, we have to keep him for the last 10 games, & not on the books till august (Storrie), then its up to Swansea.

Impressive dead ball delivery too makes him invaluable at the moment. As well as I have seen a couple of fans with Cotterill 17 on their shirts!!

    Chesterfield's O'Shea targeted

Although so far Pompey have had two bids turned down for Chesterfield's O'Shea. Will, assuming another bid (as it's expected) is made, it be third time luck for the Blues?

It wasn't Real Madrid but Bristol City isn't bad!

Contrary to what I just wrote (muppet that I am) this isn't at Fratton this is at Ashton Gate with Pompey heading to Bristol City on Saturday 30th July, with a 3pm kick-off.

Liverpool goalie keen on Pompey return

Will he get this chance though? I think we could quite safely say he'll not be in the Liverpool 1st team next season and Pompey want a goalie so could this be Ryan Fulton...
