The 2 home games in 1986, a costly draw with Barnsley, which saw us drop vital points in our promotion push, which just failed. The loss to the yo-yo WBA in 1995. All pale's into insignificance with sitting in your front room watching us beat the Mancs in the QF 3 years ago. Never has a game drawn every immaginable emotion. From being under the cosh & expecting the worse to hanging in there with the tiniest of hope. To getting the penalty, to screaming the house down when we scored. The panic as we held on & on & on. Then whistle. we had won at OT. Beaten the mighty mancs. We were in the semis & going to Wembley & then the thought of actually wiining the FA Cup. So much emotion almost too much to take. Wonderful day.

Donnie and Barnsley - must agree with Matt about 2008 though. It was quite a day - the realism struck in that evening watching Barnsley beat Chelsea at Pompey Dogtrack of all places and realising we were gonna win the cup!!

Back post Brisley. He scored so many goals for such a short man, right place right time at the back post.

Matt & Dave what a day stuff dreams are made of, & such Tension as Muntari stood up to take the penalty.

Yosser - Bris got 14 goals in our promotion season as you say not bad for a short***ed midfield player but he was always on the end of Archie Styles long crosses.

No Crawley return for Tubbs

Tubbs doesn't have a future at Pompey, he's on the transfer-list but offloading him could be difficult given his wages. These wouldn't be anywhere within Crawley's reach.

Pitfalls of Sheffield Wednesday loanee returning

As Catlin put it 'the gamble' of aiming sign Sheffield Wednesday loanee Lavery has to be one Pompey fans understand. It isn't as cut and dried as saying 'he's a free agent' sign him!

Lassie coming home...well sort of!

A-box-to-box player, capable of defensive duties, with ability to burst forward with intent to make things happen - Diarra is Pompey's man and wants an England return. I jest of course!

Will pair stay at Fratton?

It's been made (more than once) clear by Catlin Pompey want Davies & Hollands to stay. Both (also more than once) have said they want to this - deals have to be right for all concerned.
