Scunthorpe v Pompey - change of date

When I saw the title on The Pompey Site about a game with Scunthorpe being moved I at first thought this meant that the game on Tuesday would change!

Fortunately this is not the case; it is simply the final game of the season.

This game, which I would think is better for most anyway, will now take place on the Saturday and not Sunday: 'Pompey's final match of the season at Scunthorpe has been brought forward a day.

'The Glanford Park clash will now kick-off at 12.45pm on Saturday, May 7 - as will all of the final round of npower Championship fixtures.'

So, there you have we will finish the season on a Saturday for once, and not a Sunday - that suits me fine, in an ideal world it would have been a 3pm kick-off too but hey ho...

I can now go to that without taking holiday.

They'll be relegated & we will be safe by then. I'm surprised the ko is early but then again it's been a while since we were in this division but I'll be quite grateful that we are for next season.

This was in Toast on Sunday!! Old news methinks.

This headline had me thinking much worse; I - having read Mr Eastney's toast was aware that the game had been moved to a Saturday; good news I thought. Then I read this headline and I imagined it had gone to a mid week or Sunday kick off, there's me all glum thinking I'd missed the opportune to go shopping in Mr Keegans home town slums :-)
