Can we make it 4 on the trot?

Can we make it 4 on the trot?

Pompey made it 3 wins running, and also 3 cleansheets running, with the 1-0 win over Palace on Tuesday.

The last time we managed 3 or more wins on the spin is easy, that happened earlier in the season, although the real puzzle to me, and many others I had spoken to recently, was when did we last keep 3, or more, cleansheets in a row?

Was it really back as far as 2006/07 or 2007/08 when we made a blistering start to the season keeping loads of cleansheets?

So, does anyone know 'when did we last keep a hat-trick, or more, of cleansheets?

The more you win, and the more cleansheets along the way you keep, the greedier you become!

Can we possibly make it 4 of each against Ipswich on Saturday?

To be honest with you I would happily take a point but how fantastic would all 3pts be and another cleansheet eh!

What say you guys - when was the last time we keep so many cleansheets running and can we possibly extend runs on either, or both, counts at the weekend?

I feel the tractor boys are having a "field" day and Pompey will have difficulty containing their wingers when they "plough" the " furrow" sidelines. However it was very good to watch Hogg " combine" with Nugent and maybe Pompey can " reap " a reward. Head says the best we will get a draw, but to take the three points would be a " Massey" step forward and virtually guarantee safety.

Could this be another game Mok the Weak doesn't play?

I think we can get something out of this, a draw is the favourite result for me I actually think we will achieve that and like russellm I would take it. 1-1 for me.

This will be a lot tougher than the home games with Scunny & Sheff Utd, which are far more importanty to win as they are both below us. But as always we have a chance but if we come away with a point, that will be a good result. Whatever happens, we need to win our home games.

Milan Lalkovic has become Pompey's sixth signing of the summer. A compensation agreement with Walsall was agreed that has seen the former Chelsea winger join the Blues.

    Solving that goalie quandary

I'm not sure our problem with finding a 'regular' no.1 last season was behind our failure to gain promotion from league two was it? Clearly it didn't help mind.

    Pompey's attacking intent

Something Pompey (attacking intent) will look to show next season to get out of league two once and for all. Smith came in from Swindon last week but Cookie wants another striker.
