10 up for Nuge, can he make 15?

Dave Nugent has reached the 10 goals that he set himself as a target before the season kicked-off - he now wants more...

15 is now his next aim and, putting aside the countless chances he will miss, there must be a 'decent chance' that he can make this, right?

I would say that he, despite scoring some belters to be fair, has missed enough 'really good' chances for it to be 20 by now already!

He is aiming high for a league finish too...

13pts off the play-offs, even with a game in hand, is a mighty lot to ask for us to catch-up but he (like cornypomp - here) is optimistic, as he told The Pompey Site, about our chances of making to top 6: 'we got the three points and now we're 13 points off the play-offs with a game in hand over a lot of sides.

'We're not giving up. We've won the last three and drew one before that, so we're in good form and can hopefully take that into the Ipswich match on Saturday.

'We're beating the teams around us in the table and now we're starting to look upwards instead of behind us.'

We are really going to have to go some to make this but a draw, or a win, at Ipswich on Saturday and then wins over Scunthorpe and Sheff United in our next games to follow 'could' make it interesting...

Although, to be honest, I still think it is unlikely and will be more than happy with survival in this league this season, which is starting to look almost sorted.

So then guys, its over to you. Do you...

a) think that Nugent can make the 15 goals he wants?
b) think we can sneak into the play-offs like he hopes we will?

    a) should be there or thereabouts dependant on not getting injured/suspended. b) about as much chance as I have winning 500,000 or more in any competition/lottery before the end of the season.

    That's what I like about you pompey--pessimist... you're a real pessimist, not a wannabe :-)

Yes, and when I said he'll get 14 maybe 17 - oh how you lot laughed. . . . I'd prefer not to listen to talk about the play off's - I still recall with horror the plummet the last time that hysteria took hold. To balance that I feel Woan's desire for 14 points out of a possible 45 set completely the wrong Pompey- overly pessimistic tone.

Aim for the stars Russell even if you know that you're gonna end up in the carpark :-) PS.. I did laugh about Nugget I must admit. I'd be lying if I said that I'm suddenly a fan, will take the goals though and certainly compliment him if he gets to 15.

Ive got to say that I didnt think he would get 4 let alone 14+ - I reckon he will do it, as MickTait says, he is in the shop window! I also think that Kitson will be into double figures too!! Playoffs - its mathematically possible but a 1 in 25 chance, blimey, if we did make it that would be a helluver run! Im guessing PompeyPessimist doesnt do the lottery??! :)
