The home games with Sunderland in 1996 & most memorable was the hame match with Stockport in 1998 & the 'wall of sound' created in the Fratton end with non stop chanting that made 8,000 crowd seem like 40,000. An amazing evening, you just had to be there to apprciate it. This without doubt set the tone for the atmosphere we enjoyed during the seasons to come.

Storagematt string words, I'm pretty sure there was a fraction roar long before that game- which I didnt go to; in fact I don't remember any of them.
